The Four Symbols are sacred animals who protect the lands of the Snurp Seas and guard a part of it;
- Genbu protects the North.
- Seiryu protects the East
- Byakko protects the West
- Suzaku protects the South.
In Snurps[]
Seemingly, the Symbols have gone feral and are now obsessed with hunting down particular dragons they call the Acolytes, even if it endangers their own land.
Byakko is first encountered by the party trying to ransack Charja Pyramid trying to hunt a so-called Gal Daemon. After a battle, Byakko gives up and flees. This confuses the party since a Symbol should have been able to easily stomp them.
They are given a lead to find Suzaku at Goblin Volcano.
Upon reaching Suzaku, the party questions her about the Daemon, but give up as she attacks, then seemingly forgets about the Daemon after her death and rebirth. She then gives another lead to Seiryu, who reportedly holds the Snurp Amulet.
